Author FAQ
READER QUESTIONS:
Where do I post my review?
Thanks so much for your interest in reviewing! Reviews help others discover my books, and I'm so grateful that you want to help out. You can post a review on this website, on your own blog, or on any retailer. Again, thank you for sharing your thoughts with other readers!
Where can I read more of your stories?
I send my newsletter subscribers a free eBook! Subscribe here for a copy of RIPPLER, or take this quiz to discover a free book that is tailored to your preferences!
AUTHOR QUESTIONS:
Why did you publish independently?
I've been published both traditionally with a publisher and independently, and there are SO many reasons I love indie publishing! By going indie, I am able to maintain control over my covers and publishing schedule, interact more directly with my readers, run my book biz exactly the way I want, and best of all: get a higher royalty payment, which means writing can be my fulltime job! I strive to maintain high standards for my books, and even Kirkus Reviews (the "World's Toughest Critic") praises my books.
I'm a writer and I have questions about writing.
Fabulous and congrats for being a writer! Can I share some of the advice that has been most helpful to me?
- Definitely, join a writer's organization - locally if possible.
- If you happen to write children's books, I'd recommend the Society for Children's Book Writers and Illustrators. (Search SCBWI)
- You can find many groups on Facebook that are good resources. I recommend Author Nation (formerly 20Books to 50K).
- Lastly, here's a curated list of some of my favorite writing books.
